Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and early childhood education, with the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting children's development and well-being while fostering positive relationships with both children and their families.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, encouraging children's curiosity and creativity. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive community within the nursery. Work collaboratively with other staff members to manage daily nursery operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient environment. Uphold nursery policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, to maintain a safe learning space. Demonstrate leadership skills by mentoring junior staff and supporting their professional development.

Requirements

Relevant qualifications in childcare or early childhood education are essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children and parents. Ability to manage multiple tasks while demonstrating drive and enthusiasm for working with young children. A commitment to promoting inclusive practices that support the diverse needs of all children. Leadership qualities that enable you to inspire and motivate others within the team.
