Job Description

The Little Bears Nursery is a FULL DAY, ALL YEAR ROUND setting in Hatfield Peverel. Our children range from 2 years old to pre-school age and our main hours of operation are 7.30-6pm daily.

We are looking for a new member of staff to join our fun and inspiring team! We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is highly motivated to provide the highest quality of care to children. This role will be on FULL TIME basis. Relevant Level 3 Child Care qualification required. (Level 2 childcare qualification would be considered)

The successful candidate must share our ethos of providing safe, high quality education and care which meets the individual needs of children attending the setting.

Some of the responsibilities within the role will involve:

Planning activities that are stimulating and educational for the children. Having a good knowledge of the EYFS and being able to plan, observe and assess. Being a key worker to a group of children and will involve keeping and updating their records in line with the EYFS. Assist with the creation of a stimulating and attractive room environment. Developing positive relationships with families/children and staff. Being a reliable member of our team working co-operatively and with flexibility under supervision of the manager. Following all policies and procedures set out by the nursery.
Safeguarding requirement: The Little Bears Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. It is a requirement of all staff that they share this commitment and follow the prescribed policy and procedures to continuously promote a culture of safeguarding across the whole organisation. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
