We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and well-being of children in our care, ensuring they receive the highest standard of childcare.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Create engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play.
- Observe and assess children's development, maintaining accurate records to track progress.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play, ensuring safety and well-being at all times.
- Support children's emotional and social development by encouraging positive behaviour and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate others within the team.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development is essential.
