Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents is essential in fostering positive relationships within the nursery setting.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Manage daily activities, ensuring that all children are engaged and supported in their learning experiences. Create and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's development. Maintain a safe and clean nursery environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Drive initiatives that encourage children's independence and confidence through play-based learning. Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership skills while supporting less experienced staff members in their professional development.

Experience

A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential. Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively. A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to drive children's learning through creative play experiences.
