We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role requires effective communication skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education for young children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of each child.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 10 Months -5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's learning and development across all areas.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community.
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and development.
Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning.
Collaborate with team members to promote best practices in childcare and early education.
Support the management team in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and nursery policies.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Experience & Qualifications
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
A MINIMUM LEVEL 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage small teams effectively.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
Experience in planning educational activities that cater to diverse needs is an advantage.
Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and an appreciation of Montessori, play-based learning approaches.
