About the Role
We are seeking an
experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Qualified Practitioner
to join our team for
3 days per week
. The ideal candidate will bring warmth, professionalism, and creativity to the role, supporting children's learning and development while ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
You will work closely with the room leader and management team to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities, maintain high-quality care, and build strong relationships with parents and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare & Education
Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for all children in your care.
Plan and implement purposeful, play-based learning experiences following the EYFS.
Support each child's individual learning journey and maintain accurate observations and assessments.
Encourage children's independence, confidence, and curiosity through creative and engaging activities.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Teamwork & Professionalism
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations and high standards of practice.
Support the room leader with planning, record-keeping, and communication.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and nursery events when required.
Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Health & Safety
Follow safeguarding and child protection policies rigorously.
Ensure that the environment is clean, safe, and well-organised throughout the day.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene and first-aid procedures.
Parent Partnership
Build positive relationships with parents and carers, sharing updates and progress on their child's development.
Communicate effectively and professionally, promoting a warm and welcoming ethos.
Requirements
Essential:
Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).
Minimum of
2 years' post-qualification experience
in an Early Years setting.
Strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding, and child protection policies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive, proactive, and nurturing attitude.
Desirable:
Current enhanced DBS check
(on the update service or willing to apply).
Paediatric First Aid qualification.
Experience working in a small, family-oriented nursery setting.
A genuine passion for child development and continuous professional growth.
