We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and early childhood education to children in a nurturing and safe environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while supporting children's development and learning. The Nursery Practitioner will work closely with colleagues to create engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support early childhood development
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times
Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children to learn and play
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and daily activities
Support children with their personal care needs in accordance with nursery policies
Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily routines and educational programmes
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress and any concerns
Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, management, and leadership within the team
Assist with administrative tasks related to nursery operations as required
Drive company vehicles when necessary for nursery outings or errands
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development stages
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning & Development or equivalent are preferred
Ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining a caring approach towards children
Commitment to safeguarding standards and health & safety regulations
