Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and early childhood education to children within a nurturing and safe environment. The Nursery Practitioner will work closely with colleagues to deliver engaging activities that support children's social, emotional, and educational growth.

Responsibilities



Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and creativity. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care at all times. Support children's individual needs through personalised care plans. Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery environment. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication. Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities. Assist in the assessment of children's progress and contribute to their development records. Lead by example in promoting good behaviour and social skills among children. Support colleagues with daily nursery operations and contribute to team meetings.

Experience



Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting is highly desirable. Proven management or leadership experience within childcare environments is advantageous. Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members. Experience with childcare regulations and safeguarding procedures is preferred. Valid driving licence is beneficial for roles requiring travel between nursery locations or community visits. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 14.50-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
