Overview

We are seeeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 nursey practitioner to work in this delightful 16-place private nursery, which is an eco-nursery and Forest School. Set in Surrey's beautiful open countryside with acres of grounds and wildlife on our doorstep, you must have your own transport. Children from 0 to 5 with a happy team of staff and wonderfully adventrous children achieving Oftead's early learning goals through lots of child-led play and outdoor activities. You will be joining a nursery with ambitious plans, the current team are enjoying creating amazing expierences for the children in our care.

40 hours per week, worked over 4 days, 23 days paid holiday per year plus bank holidays.

Duties

Provide attentive and responsive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, supporting the developmental milestones of each child. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to create a harmonious nursery environment that encourages teamwork and shared responsibilities. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities, ensuring smooth operations within the nursery. Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the nursery setting.

Skills

Strong background in childcare with relevant experience working with young children. Leadership abilities to guide and inspire both children and fellow practitioners. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A proactive drive to create enriching experiences for children while managing daily tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
