As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your management and leadership skills will be essential in guiding both the children and your colleagues.

Responsibilities

Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Maintain a safe and clean nursery environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities as necessary. Support the management team in the daily operations of the nursery, including staff supervision and training. Encourage children's independence and self-esteem through positive reinforcement and guidance. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Experience

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff. Previous nursery experience will be advantageous, particularly in a leadership or management role. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel if necessary for nursery-related activities.
