Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote the development of children aged 0-5 years. Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring effective communication with parents and guardians. Supervise daily activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment that supports the nursery's objectives. Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, demonstrating strong management and leadership skills. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations as well as nursery policies. Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong management and leadership skills to effectively guide a team of practitioners. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to create an engaging learning environment. Driving licence preferred to facilitate travel if required for nursery activities or outings.
