Job Description

Flower Pots Day Nursery is currently seeking a passionate and qualified Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 or 3) to join our dedicated team at our Tring setting. This is a full-time role offering excellent prospects for career progression, with opportunities for further training and development within our growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a key person for a group of children, providing attentive, nurturing care while observing and documenting their developmental milestones. Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for children, families, and colleagues, in line with our nursery's policies and procedures. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, fostering strong communication and teamwork. Ensure children's safety and well-being at all times by following safeguarding policies and procedures diligently. Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team to support the smooth daily running of the setting.

What We're Looking For:

A full and relevant Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification. A clear Enhanced DBS check (we will support you in obtaining this upon employment). A genuine passion for early years education and providing high-quality care. A good understanding of safeguarding practices and a strong commitment to child safety. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan and manage activities effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and engaging approach. Creativity, enthusiasm, and adaptability in delivering enriching learning experiences.
