We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners. Your ability to communicate effectively, manage classroom activities, and lead children through their developmental milestones will be essential in fostering their growth and learning.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery setting.
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's development.
Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring all children's needs are met.
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their individual learning journeys.
Foster a positive environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and develop social skills.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a safe and clean nursery environment.
Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings and support children's holistic development.
Requirements
A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage groups of children effectively while demonstrating leadership qualities.
A genuine passion for early childhood education and the ability to engage with children at their level.
A commitment to safeguarding children's welfare and promoting their well-being.
Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the nursery environment.
A valid driving licence may be advantageous for certain roles within the organisation.
Level 3 or above childcare qualification.
