Are you looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to be part of the team in a unique and different kind of nursery?
Our Ofsted Outstanding day nursery is a bilingual English and Spanish setting giving our children a unique opportunity to learn both languages and benefit from all of the advantages of being in a bilingual environment (speaking Spanish is not necessary though!)
We are a creative and innovative setting, with loose parts and open-ended resources, allowing staff to create engaging and stimulating learning opportunities for our children.
We are looking for a level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our amazing team. We have 4 rooms; babies, tweenies, toddlers and preschool. We keep our room numbers low, so along with your colleagues you get plenty of opportunities to get to know the children, build special bonds and really support and encourage their development. Each age group has their own outdoor area attached so you can make regular use of outdoor learning opportunities, as well as our own allotment plot just down the road.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Work with the rooms team to ensure your room runs smoothly, working in partnership with parents and ensuring an engaging environment and effective learning opportunities
Ensure that all children attending the setting are kept safe and that all legislation in relation to Health and Safety and Safeguarding is complied with.
Be an effective key person
Support the delivery of our curriculum, ensuring all children are receiving the best opportunities for learning and development
Promote our values and challenge any behaviour that goes against them
Build excellent relationships with our families to work in partnership with parents/carers
Support colleagues in your team and across the setting to ensure a strong team and a nice working environment for all
We prioritise creating a supportive work environment where all staff feel valued and respected and can thrive and grow in their Early Years Careers.
