Rise and Shine Day Nursery are delighted to be adding to our amazing and ever growing team. We are looking for someone who is caring, dedicated and enthusiastic to work with our wonderful children!

We are looking for an experienced nursery practitioner for a Toddler/ Flying Start Room Leader role.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading and be at least Level 3 qualified in childcare.

Room leader responsibilities:

To manage the day to day running of a room

To manage a small team

To communicate effectively with your team and delegate tasks fairly

To ensure standards are high and recommendations from management are followed

To monitor planning observations and assessments

To communicate effectively with parents

To work alongside the Flying Start Team

To attend all Flying Start training

To complete all Flying Start paper work including planning and assessments

To work towards a high score in our ITERS assessment

To meet Flying Start targets

Practitioner responsibilities:

To maintain a safe secure environment for all of the children

Ensure that the emotional, social, intellectual and physical needs of the children are met.

Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered too at all times.

Report to senior members of staff if any problems or seeking advice

To keep records of work, and plan and carry out observations

To be able to work towards and maintain all standards.

To follow an Early Years framework, being responsible for your key children's recording, development and planning, ensuring they are always up to date and asking for help if needed.

To attend all staff meetings and training evenings.

Maintaining staff ratios.

Ensuring the preparation, care cleanliness and maintenance of the room is to a high standard at all times.

Adhere to any tasks or duties given to you from your head of room

Communicate with children consistently.

Plan and carry out activities for all children ensuring they are fun, stimulating and suitable for their age and stage of development.

Job Types: Full-time

Monday to Friday 4 day working week Working a shift between 7:15 and 18:15

Experience:

Childcare: At least one year of experience of working in a Day Nursery setting.
