Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role involves providing high-quality care and education to young children, fostering their development through engaging activities and nurturing relationships.

Duties

Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their development. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive team environment, demonstrating strong management and leadership skills. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery procedures. Support children's emotional well-being, encouraging positive behaviour and social skills.

Skills

Proven experience in childcare or nursery settings, demonstrating a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Strong management and leadership abilities to guide junior staff members and contribute to a cohesive team environment. A genuine passion for working with children, coupled with the ability to create engaging learning experiences. Driving licence preferred to facilitate travel between locations if required.
