NB: This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders act 1974. Applicants must be prepared to disclose any convictions they may have and any orders that have been made against them.
As the position involves close contact with children all suitable applicants will be required to undergo a DBS check.
Key responsibilities
To contribute to maintaining our safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children, staff and parents.
Provide high standards of quality, care and provision within the nursery including the environment, interactions and experiences offered to children.
To assist with daily supervision and care of the children within your department.
To cooperate and work effectively with all nursery staff, taking on additional responsibilities/ duties as and when required.
To be an effective key person carrying out all related responsibilities.
To develop positive relationships whilst working in partnership with parents and carers.
Demonstrate good practice with regard to Inclusion and SEND, working in partnership with a variety of agencies and professionals when required.
Health and safety responsibilities
Ensure compliance with our Safeguarding and Whistleblowing policies, reporting any concerns immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
To comply with all statutory frameworks and legislation related to the Early Years Industry, adhering to the settings policies and procedures at all times.

Essential Criteria:
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Completion of a satisfactory DBS check and registration with the update service.
Working towards/ the commitment to gain a relevant childcare qualification.
Enrolment on paediatric First Aid course within the first 3 months.
Completion of a relevant Safeguarding course.
A willingness to undertake any further training including some evenings and weekends.
