Nursery Room Leader - Aylestone

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Room Leader to join our leadership team in Aylestone. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager and Deputy, leading your unit day to day and stepping up to support wider nursery operations when required.

What you'll do:

Lead and inspire your room team, supporting their training, development, and wellbeing. Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS. Act as a key contact for parents, ensuring smooth settling-in and regular updates on progress. Provide reports to the Manager/Deputy on children's development, staff training needs, and room performance. Take on management duties such as show-arounds, staffing, and operational cover in the absence of the Manager or Deputy. Maintain a safe, stimulating environment with high-quality resources.

What we're looking for:

Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum). Previous experience as a Nursery Practitioner or Room Leader with leadership responsibilities. Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements. Excellent organisational, communication, and mentoring skills. Paediatric First Aid and safeguarding training (or willingness to update).

Hours & Pay

Full-time and part-time opportunities available Salary: from 12.65 an hour (dependent on qualification and experience)
