Summary

'Nursery SENCO' is a vital role at Childrensworld UK Limited, based in Telford. This position involves coordinating special educational needs support within our nurseries to ensure every child's individual needs are met, aligning with our mission to provide inclusive, high-quality early years education.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualized support plans for children with special educational needs.

Collaborate with nursery staff, parents, and external professionals to promote inclusive practices. Monitor and review the progress of children requiring additional support. Provide guidance and training to staff on SEN best practices. Maintain accurate records related to SEN interventions. Support the overall inclusion strategy within the nursery setting. Stay updated on legislation and best practices related to special educational needs.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a SENCO or similar role within early childhood settings.

Strong understanding of SEN legislation and inclusive practices. Excellent communication and mentoring skills. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies. Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or special educational needs. Commitment to ongoing professional development. Experience working with children with diverse needs is highly desirable.'
