We are looking for a compassionate and motivated individual to take on the role of Special Educational Needs Coordinator (Nursery SENCo) at Warminster Bright Beginnings.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their career. You do
not need to be a qualified SENCo
, but ideally you will have experience working with children with SEND and willingness to complete SENCo training.

The Role
As a SENCo, you will:
Oversee and support the learning and development of children with additional needs, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
Work closely with keypersons to ensure children's needs are identified and supported early
Promote an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and encourages all children to participate fully in nursery activities.
Liaise with parents, carers and external agencies such as health visitors, speech and language therapists, and local authority SEND teams
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including EHCPs and support plans
Promote inclusive practise throughout the setting
What We're Looking For
Essential:
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Willingness to undertake SENCo training and ongoing professional development
Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with others
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt strategies to meet individual children's needs.
Desirable:
Some experience supporting children with SEND (formally or informally)
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the SEND Code of Practice
Familiarity with SEN processes such as Early Help Assessments or referrals
A valid driving licence is advantageous.
