Duties

Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients Cook various dishes according to specified recipes and standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Prepare ingredients and meals in line with health and safety guidelines Support the team during busy service periods, ensuring timely meal delivery Follow all hygiene protocols, including proper storage of food items and sanitising surfaces regularly Assist with stock control, including checking inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed Collaborate with dietary staff, nursing staff, and management to support resident care plans

Skills

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Flexibility to adapt to various tasks within the kitchen environment Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.21-13.29 per hour
