Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our caring team at Trentham House Care Home in Trentham. This role is vital in supporting our kitchen operations to deliver nutritious and delicious meals for our residents, ensuring their well-being and comfort.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and meal service to ensure timely delivery of nutritious meals. Ensuring resident have the correct levels of foods. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen. Support the kitchen team with daily cleaning and organization tasks. Follow dietary requirements and special meal plans for residents. Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and correctly. Contribute to a positive dining experience for residents by providing friendly service. Support stock management and inventory checks as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation or culinary roles, preferably within a care or healthcare setting. Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations. Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment. Good communication skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the kitchen. Prior experience with meal planning or dietary requirements is desirable.
