An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nursing Support Worker to join our friendly and supportive Preassesment team at Withybush General Hospital.
Our preassessment service plays a vital role in preparing patients for elective surgery. We are a close-knit, multidisciplinary team that assesses patients across a range of specialties e.g general surgery, gynaecology, orthopaedics, ENT, and urology.
As part of the team, you will carry out essential assessments and investigations such as blood tests, observations, ECGs, and MRSA swabs.
The Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) role is an integral part of supporting the qualified staff in the clinic. Flexibility and a proactive attitude are key, along with a good working knowledge of WPAS, Welsh Clinical Portal and Microsoft applications
We are looking for someone who is not only experienced and reliable but also friendly and approachable, someone who will fit in well with our small, dedicated team.

The post holder will ensure high standards of individualised care are delivered to patients attending the preassessment clinic
Ensure patients are treated with dignity and respect at all times
You will work under the delegation of the registered nurse as well as having the ability to work competently without direct supervision
The post requires a highly motivated HCSW with excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills
The post is Monday to Friday however there may be a need to work weekends on certain occasions.
The post is Full time however part time hours will be considered.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
