32,000-35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

36 hours/week, occasional early mornings and school visits

About the Role




We're looking for a passionate and proactive

Nutritionist & Engagement Partner

to join our team, and play a pivotal role to improve children's health and wellbeing through nutritious school meals and food education. You'll work directly with schools, local authorities, and community partners to deliver impactful nutrition programmes and drive engagement across diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities



Work alongside the Head of Service and Food Development team to ensure nutrition and health is at the core of all food concepts and menus. Design and deliver new approaches that enhance the education and curriculum support we offer to each school/contract nutrition education workshops for pupils, staff, and parents. Develop and deliver nutrition education sessions within the business and for schools (primary and secondary). Present and deliver evidence-based information to drive business decisions on nutrition in line with the company catering strategy. Support schools in meeting and improving meal quality Conduct nutritional audits and assessments, and provide tailored advice Collaborate with chefs and catering teams to design healthy menus Build strong relationships with schools and local stakeholders Lead engagement campaigns to raise awareness of food insecurity and healthy eating Monitor programme impact and report on outcomes Engagement and interaction with education groups via e-mail, social media and face-to-face As an integral member of the senior food team, the Nutritionist will be expected to present and deliver evidence-based information to drive business decisions on nutrition in line with the company catering strategy.

About you



Qualifications, Skills & Experience



Degree in Nutrition or related field preferred. Registered (RNutr) or Associate Registered (ANutr) Nutritionist, or Registered Dietitian. A natural passion for nutritional wellbeing and experience at a similar level within the Food service sector. Experience working with schools, community health, or food education and using nutrition software systems Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to engage diverse audiences and build trust Knowledge of UK school food policy and child nutrition The ability to work both independently and with managers, chefs and kitchen teams. Knowledge and experience in translating evidence-based nutrition science into useful information. IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams

Working arrangements




Location: Dagenham with travel to client sites as per business requirement.


Contract: Full time, permanent. Number of working weeks: 52 weeks (Annual leave to be taken during school half term).


Working pattern: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Typically core hours will range from 7am to 3.30pm).


Salary: Starting at 32,000 per annum
