where every day you will organise and arrange sea freight shipments while providing the highest quality service.

As a Navigate Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the

day-to-day sea operations run efficiently

and in accordance with supplier and client agreements. You will handle import, export, and cross-trade sea freight shipments, liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents, and both internal and external customers. By using your

customer service skills

, you will manage and resolve customer issues, tracking and tracing freight through to its final destination.

A typical day



Managing sea freight operations

from quotation through to final delivery, constantly quoting and booking with hauliers, shipping lines, and agents. Handling

all documentation

for both import and export customs, liaising with our internal customs team and external brokers/agents, and keeping track of clearances to arrange onward transportation. Managing shipments covered by letters of credit and issuing certificates of origin when required. Maintaining

communication and control

throughout all phases of the sea freight operations process, ensuring information is shared with colleagues and third parties so that deadlines are met. Developing

relationships

with shipping lines and overseas agents to ensure our customers' expectations are fulfilled. Ensuring documents and clearance instructions are available. Updating account managers with the status of shipments and dealing with enquiries. Completing general freight administration.

Is this role for you?



Are you

experienced in Freight Forwarding

, specifically in import and export

ocean freight operations

, with hands-on operational experience, including end-to-end management? Can you demonstrate

strong commercial awareness

, with the ability to identify competitive shipping rates and source

effective logistical solutions

? You will be

highly organised

, with excellent attention to detail and can manage and control multiple shipments simultaneously. Are you someone who thrives working under pressure, able to meet tight deadlines and make confident decisions when needed? Are you someone who likes to find solutions when situations occur, can think on your feet with the ability to work independently? Are you someone who strives to get the best levels of service to your customers and makes sure they are professional and

provide timely updates

? Do you have an understanding of key freight documentation requirements? Including customs, experience with Letter of Credit and certificates of Origin, this would be advantageous, not essential.
