Office Administration Assistant

to join our small, friendly team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our day-to-day operations.

Role Overview



This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has excellent communication and decision-making skills. You'll support daily office functions, customer service, basic bookkeeping, and internal coordination--helping to keep the business running efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities



1. Administrative Support



Provide administrative assistance to the sales and production teams. Input sales data and issue order confirmations. Process purchase and sales orders received via phone and email. Coordinate product and service delivery with managers and directors. Monitor sales order progress, flag delays, and report discrepancies. Assist with digital marketing activities, including email campaigns.

2. Customer Service



Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries and communications. Maintain accurate customer records using the company's CRM system.

3. General Office Duties



Perform basic bookkeeping tasks and data entry into CRM and accounting systems. Support the planning and coordination of meetings, trade shows, and events. Provide general clerical support across departments as needed.

What We're Looking ForQualifications



Formal qualifications in administration, IT, or bookkeeping are desirable but not essential.

Skills & Experience



Strong organisational and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with CRM or accounting software (e.g., Act!, Xero, Sage 50) is an advantage. Ability to manage tasks independently and collaborate effectively in a team. Discretion when handling sensitive information. Knowledge of the chemical industry is beneficial but not required.
