Closing date for applications: Monday 21st July, 2025 - interviews will be held week commencing 4th August, 2025 - these will be held in person at our office in Bwlchygroes, Pembrokeshire.



Principal Duties:


Receive and record telephone bookings and enquiries and where necessary make telephone calls regarding same Complete dial a ride journey schedules for drivers on a daily basis Organise drivers for dial a ride services and group bookings Liaise with drivers regarding their schedules when needed Complete all administrative records both manual and computerised on a daily/weekly/monthly basis Data entry of accurate vehicle information including mileage, fuel, passenger journeys and times Arrange vehicle servicing and repairs as necessary in liaison with other staff Prepare accurate information/data reports as appropriate for grant monitoring purposes from manual and computerised data Be aware of health and safety guidelines regarding driving and operating of company vehicles Be willing to undertake minibus driver training (MiDAS) and to fill in on dial a ride services when necessary Be willing to undertake appropriate training i.e. Health and Safety, drivers hours and any other training deemed necessary Must be computer literate Monitor stock levels and purchase supplies where appropriate Observe good practice and confidentiality, observing the Data Protection Act regarding all passengers including vulnerable people




Person Specification: -

Good communication skills are required to relate to people from all areas of life, especially people with disabilities, elderly people and people living in isolation

Experience of office procedures

Good level of education. Knowledge of Microsoft office packages, excel and databases are a necessity

Must have good knowledge of maps and route planning and be a quick learner

Must enjoy working with people and be patient and understanding

Be empathetic towards those who need help but not be overbearing

Be able to work under pressure both alone and as part of a team

Have access to a car

Have D1 on their driver's licence and no more than 3 penalty points



Training
Full training will be given in all aspects of the business Post holder must attend relevant training courses specified by the GDCT in order to maintain the standard of service delivery

Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check This is an office based post successful applicant will be working from our Bwlchygroes office
