This is a part time position with potential flexible working arrangements in line with the requirements of the Church, which will include Sundays when required, based on 20 hours per week typically during regular office hours. This role is mainly office based but will allow for occasional remote working.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and will be required to undertake a successful Enhanced DBS check throughout their employment.

Our part-time Office Assistant will be committed to the aims and vision of SBC and support the work of our congregation by performing a wide range of office and communications related duties in the church.
Purpose of the Role:
The Office Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to our Minister(s), staff, and various ministries of the church. This role serves as the first point of contact for visitors and members, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the church office and a welcoming environment for all.
Office Duties and Tasks
General Office Admin e.g. telephone, doors, visitors, stationary stock management
Contact management in ChurchSuite (members incl approval and removal, key dates e.g. Baptisms, dedications...)
Organising our digital archive (Egnyte)
Communication
Mailchimp (Bulletin and other emails)
Management of physical noticeboards
General Church notices
Flyers
Easter, Christmas, and other outreach publicity
Website management (WIXX)
Social Media Management
Develop creative and engaging multi-platform content for communicating SBC's values and objectives. This would include:
To regularly update social media platforms such as YouTube and Facebook,
To identify and utilise other appropriate platforms e.g. WhatsApp, Instagram etc. to engage all age groups and life stages,
To oversee the broadcast of our online service provision,
To develop digital ministry resources to support worship, evangelism, and discipleship initiatives.
