Part-Time Office Administrator (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid - primarily remote with occasional office visits to Aldridge depot
Contract: Initially 12 months, with potential to extend or become permanent
Hours: Part-time, flexible (15-25 hours per week)
Pay: 13.50 - 15.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Thomas Operations is a growing construction company specialising in outdoor media installation and infrastructure works across the UK. We're looking for a proactive and organised Office Administrator to take ownership of our business administration and support both the office and site teams. This is a part-time role with flexible working hours. The role is primarily remote, with only very occasional requirements to attend our office/depot in Aldridge (for training, handover, or specific tasks).

Key Responsibilities

Managing digital filing, record-keeping, and correspondence Supporting payroll and subcontractor CIS processing Coordinating scheduling, travel, and accommodation bookings for site teams Handling supplier invoices and liaising with accounts (Xero experience an advantage) Acting as a reliable point of contact between remote office support, site operatives, and clients Proactively improving office systems and processes to support business growth
What We're Looking For

Strong organisational and time-management skills Confident with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) Previous admin experience (construction or trade industry background desirable, but not essential) A clear communicator with excellent attention to detail Comfortable working independently in a remote setting with regular check-ins Based in the UK (proximity to Aldridge depot a strong advantage)
Hours, Pay & Contract

13.50 - 15.00 per hour (depending on experience) Part-time, flexible (15-25 hours per week) Initially a 12-month contract, with the potential to extend or become permanent as the business grows A 3-month probation period will apply, to ensure the role is the right fit for both you and the company This role is intended as a long-term part-time position for now. However, as the company grows, there may be opportunities to increase hours to full-time and eventually move into an office-based role if that suits you.
