What's my role all about?



There are a number of plates to spin in this role, so you'll need to be adaptable and enjoy the challenge of juggling different responsibilities in a varied and interesting role. No two days are likely to be the same! You'll be covering bookkeeping and management accounts, reporting, HR, client surveys and anything that contributes to the smooth running of our office. If a new challenge comes up, you need to be the sort of person that sticks their hand up first and works out how to achieve it second. This role is primarily delivered from Treetops, our office in Market Harborough and you'll be expected to come in most days.

What will I be doing day to day?



Data and office management:

client surveys: including designing, monitoring and reporting using Excel and Survey Monkey, data analysis, production of reports monitoring and reporting from our time and expense software, Harvest HR administration and holiday approvals using BrightHR business management support to the boring board - we don't like to take ourselves to seriously! writing blogs (you're not alone... all the bunch regularly write blogs) joining in team meetings and random fun stuff
The accounting side of things:

raising sales invoices and proformas managing aged-debtors providing monthly budget updates on client projects to the lead consultant paying suppliers staff expenses, credit cards, wages preparing management accounts and monthly reporting facilitating internal meetings with the bunch and getting them involved and enthused with the numbers supporting Rambutan's external accountant and bookkeeper with year-end, payroll and monthly accounts entries

What do I need to bring to the Rambutan party?



at least three years' experience in a similar role leadership and management experience advanced numerical and IT skills (especially being a Microsoft Excel whizz-kid) the ability (and deep-seated desire) to analyse and present financial data to become the bunch's guru on stuff like data analysis, databases, spreadsheets, graphs, charts etc. a decent grasp of English that makes you an effective communicator, both verbally and written passionate about the detail and an ability to explain it to others who might not share your affinity with numbers a high degree of personal integrity and an ability to handle confidential information ideally a working knowledge of QuickBooks and Survey Monkey most importantly a sense of fun and a commitment to living and breathing our values oh... and obvious but needs stating... you must be eligible to work in the UK

What will Rambutan give me?



a full-time, permanent, 40 hours per week job with flexible working hours training and development bespoke to you and this role 30 days annual leave (including bank holidays) a company pension scheme a salary of 30,000 to 35,000 a year, depending on how much we like you, how much you like us and your experience inclusion in the Rambutan profit share scheme free on-site parking free daily refreshments (and we don't just mean biscuits... though they do help sometimes!) as long as you take your turn to put the kettle on
