We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our IT department as a Office / IT Assistant. This role will support the efficient functioning of our IT systems, working closely with our IT Manager providing technical assistance to our teams in our homes and head office.
You will be required to support the IT Manager in day to day admin tasks, this is more of an admin role than advanced IT.
As a Office / IT Assistant, you will provide day-to-day technical support, assist with hardware and software troubleshooting, and ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. You will work closely with the IT Manager to implement solutions and ensure the technological needs of the organisation are met.
In turn, the IT Manager will provide training for you to be able to provide sufficient support on the systems we have. There is also an opportunity for external training that can offer you well recognised IT qualifications. You will be heavily involved in the administration side of the IT department in order to allow the IT Manager to continue implementing new systems and ensuring what we have is robust and business compliant so having administration and customer services skill is highly beneficial.

IT Support
First point of contact for IT issues (helpdesk)
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity
Support 12 sites and 30+ remote users
Maintain 2FA/MFA and reset passwords
Manage Microsoft 365 access and licences
Set up devices and install approved software
Provide remote and on-site support as needed
Assist with CCTV, smart tech, and security updates
Ensure safe internet use for young people
Escalate complex issues to IT Manager
IT Admin
Create and remove user accounts
Support staff onboarding and training
Manage clock-in systems, backups, and antivirus
Maintain asset register and helpdesk reports
Update website content and monitor analytics
Assist with Cyber Essentials compliance
Handle password resets, ID cards, and documentation
Support HR and maintenance helpdesks
Providing additional support to the Homes Admin team
What We're Looking For:
Someone with a Full Driving licence and access to a car
At least two years' experience in an office setting
Customer service experience
Some technical knowledge of computer hardware, software and networks
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
