Role Overview



We are recruiting an experienced

Office Manager

to take full ownership of the day-to-day administrative and dispatch operations within our busy Dyno-Rod office. This role is central to ensuring the smooth running of the business from an office and operational perspective.

You will lead a team of

6 office-based administrators

, working closely with the

General Manager

, who manages a field team of

20 engineers/plumbers

. The role requires a hands-on leader who is confident managing people, processes, KPIs, and challenging situations in a fast-paced service environment.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee the

A-Z of daily office operations

, ensuring all administrative and dispatch activities run efficiently Line manage, support, and develop a team of

6 admin staff

, including performance management and workload planning Manage

dispatch and scheduling

, ensuring engineers are deployed effectively and customer commitments are met Act as the escalation point for

complex customer or operational issues

, resolving problems professionally and efficiently Monitor, analyse, and report on

KPIs

, operational performance, and service levels Support sales performance through

sales turnover reporting

and operational insight Work collaboratively with the General Manager to drive continuous improvement Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and British Gas standards Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, customer experience, and team performance

Essential Experience & Skills



Minimum 5 years' experience

in an Office Manager, Operations Manager, or senior admin role Proven experience managing the

end-to-end running of a busy office

Background in a

fast-paced environment

, ideally dispatch, construction, maintenance, utilities, or engineering services Strong people management skills, including handling

difficult conversations and challenging situations

Experience working with

KPIs, performance metrics, and sales turnover

Highly organised, resilient, and able to prioritise under pressure Strong communication and leadership skills

Desirable



Experience within a

field-based engineering, plumbing, or utilities environment

Knowledge of scheduling or dispatch systems Experience working within a large, customer-focused organisation
