An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Hardie Grant Publishing as Office Manager, based in our Southwark Head Office.

The right person for this role will have a keen interest in the publishing industry. With a natural enthusiasm for solving problems and strong communication skills our Office Manager will be planned & organised, forward thinking, adaptable to change and able to manage the fluctuating demands that come with office life.

As the face of the Hardie Grant, our Office Manager will be the key point of contact for both for external customers & suppliers, as well as a fundamental support to our management and publishing teams. Proficiency in IT, a keen attention to detail, the ability to use a variety of systems, and communication are essential skills for this role.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Managing the internal communication in the business, championing our Company Intranet & internal social networking tools.
  • All externally facing receptionist duties, including welcoming visitors, fielding calls and emails and organising post & couriers.
  • Internally facing receptionist duties, including maintaining meeting room schedules & supporting employees with administrative duties.
  • Coordinate with external IT providers for companywide IT issues. Organise and oversee the implementation of new software and any IT projects and be the key point of contact for day to day IT issues.
  • Support new employees, arranging keys/fob, providing office maps & ensuring IT setup is completed, including ordering of any equipment.
  • Keep plentiful stock of all consumables for the office including stationery, kitchen supplies and any other materials.
  • Support our People & Culture Manager in facilitating the recruitment and onboarding of new staff, maintaining people information and sustain a safe, professional, and inspiring office space.
  • Be the main point of contact for property Management Company (landlord), facilities management, cleaners, alarm company, landlord and fire department.
