Position Overview



We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Office Manager to support the smooth day-to-day running of our Newcastle office. This role includes general office administration, payroll processing, basic bookkeeping, and supporting both office and field teams working within our commercial grounds maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-focused, efficient, and confident managing multiple responsibilities in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee daily office operations and maintain an organised, efficient workplace Process payroll accurately and on schedule Carry out basic bookkeeping tasks, including invoicing, expenses, and financial record-keeping Act as the main point of contact for staff, clients, suppliers, and contractors Support scheduling, job documentation, and administrative coordination for commercial grounds maintenance services Assist with employee onboarding and maintain accurate staff records Manage office supplies, equipment, and supplier relationships Handle incoming calls, emails, and post Prepare reports and provide administrative support to management Continuously identify opportunities to improve office systems and workflows

Qualifications



Experience in office management, administration, payroll, and/or bookkeeping Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail Confident using office software (Microsoft Office, accounting/payroll systems, etc.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and handle confidential information appropriately Positive, professional, and adaptable approach
