Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, well-organised and pro-active Office Manager to provide administrative support to the Head of Administration and Finance (HAF), and the Associate Head for People and Culture on People & Culture Committee (PCC)-related activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a flexible approach who enjoys working as part of a team, and would be an ideal step for someone wishing to develop their career within University administration. Supporting the Head of Administration and Finance, you will be managing a busy diary and mailbox, updating website and intranet / Sharepoint content, and providing support as needed to the wider administration team. You will also be working with the People and Culture Committee to support various projects including the Department's Athena Swan Award.

The post is a permanent, full-time position, primarily based in the Life and Mind Building with some limited opportunities to work from home once established in post.

About You


You will have proven administration experience and be practiced in diary and email management. With excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high standard of numeracy, and good IT skills, this role will challenge you with a varied and busy workload, and opportunities to develop. You will have discretion and sensitivity as the role will involve handling or having access to confidential information.
