Due to continuing expansion and the securing of new contracts, we are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations within our busy vehicle hire office. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a solid background in office administration with at least 5 years experience In the commercial vehicle sector. This role involves managing team activities, maintaining efficient workflows, and ensuring the smooth running of the office.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily office activities to ensure efficiency and productivity
Manage human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, and staff development
Oversee financial tasks such as invoicing, budgeting, and expense tracking using SAGE
Supervise administrative staff and provide guidance on clerical duties and office procedures
Maintain organised records of employee information, client files, and company documentation
Handle communication with clients, suppliers, and internal teams via phone, email, and in person.
Develop and implement organisational policies to improve workflow and office environment.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the office environment
Qualifications
Proven experience in office management or administrative roles with supervisory responsibilities
Strong proficiency in Sage and general accounting practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated experience in team management and human resources functions
Proficient in clerical tasks including filing, data entry, and document management
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to supervise staff while.
Professional phone etiquette with excellent interpersonal skills

Mon - Fri: 8.30 - 5pm & one Saturday morning each month.
