We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper with VAT expertise and a background in the construction industry to join our team, the job will also include that of office manager keeping up to date our time recording sytems as well as producing letters and bills to be sent to clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of financial reports. Additionally, they will handle VAT-related tasks and possess a strong understanding of the unique financial aspects of the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with VAT regulations.
Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Monitor project costs and expenses related to the construction industry.
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to track project budgets and expenses.
Assist with financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
Handle any other bookkeeping and accounting tasks as needed.
