Are you an experienced leader in children's residential care looking for an exciting new challenge? We are launching a
brand new 2-bedded children's home
in Prestwich and are seeking a passionate
Registered Manager
to lead the service from the ground up. This is your opportunity to shape a high-quality home and make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people.
About the Role
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and managing all aspects of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and Ofsted compliance. You will lead a dedicated team to create a nurturing, stable environment that supports children's emotional wellbeing, personal growth, and development.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and manage a new 2-bedded children's home in line with Ofsted regulations
Recruit, lead, support, and develop a motivated staff team
Establish a child-centred culture prioritising safety, emotional wellbeing, and development
Build strong working relationships with families, social workers, and external agencies
Oversee recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management
Manage budgets and ensure efficient, cost-effective service delivery
Promote continuous improvement and deliver positive outcomes for children
Requirements
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (Children and Young People) or equivalent
Minimum 2 years' managerial experience in a children's residential setting
In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, care standards, and Ofsted frameworks
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Passion for delivering outstanding care and supporting young people
