About the Role
Working closely with the Responsible Individual, you will play a central role in setting up the home in line with Ofsted requirements. You will lead staff recruitment, develop policies and procedures, and ensure the home operates to the highest standards of care and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the registration and setup of the children's home
Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing care team
Ensure full compliance with Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
Promote a trauma-informed, child-centred approach to care
Oversee the day-to-day management of a 2-bed EBD home
Monitor and drive positive outcomes for children and young people
Manage budgets, resources, and reporting systems
Build and maintain a strong, values-led team culture
Requirements
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children and Young People's Residential Management) or working towards
Minimum of 2 years' recent experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager/Team Leader in a children's residential home
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and systemic practice
Proven leadership and team-building skills
Thorough knowledge of Ofsted standards and regulatory frameworks
