Overview



We seek a dedicated and compassionate Registered Children's Manager to oversee the care and wellbeing of children within our facility. This role is essential in ensuring that high standards of care are maintained, while also providing leadership and support to our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child care, nursing, or a related field, with experience in managing care plans and supervising staff.

Duties



Manage the daily operations of the children's care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care to children, including those with special needs. Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each child's physical, emotional, and social development. Administer medication as required and oversee medication management protocols. Conduct regular assessments and reviews of children's progress and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as needed. Provide leadership and training to staff, fostering a positive working environment that encourages professional development. Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for each child. Maintain accurate records of care provided, incidents, and any changes in children's health or behavior.

Skills and Qualifications



Proven experience in a care home or residential care setting, particularly with children or young people. NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively. Knowledge of medication administration protocols and best practices in child care. Experience in developing and implementing care plans tailored for individual needs. Excellent communication skills for liaising with families and professionals alike. A commitment to providing high-quality care with empathy and respect.
