About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated
Children's Residential Home Manager for a new home
to lead our team in providing a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children with complex emotional and behavioral needs. Our home operates under a
therapeutic model
, focusing on trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, and positive attachment-based approaches.
As the Home Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance with Ofsted regulations, and leading a team to deliver a person-centered, therapeutic approach that supports the well-being and development of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide effective leadership and management to a team of residential care staff.
Ensure the home meets and exceeds all
Ofsted regulations
and maintains high standards of care.
Implement and develop the
therapeutic model
to create a nurturing, structured, and healing environment for children.
Develop and oversee
care plans
tailored to the individual needs of each child.
Manage
safeguarding
practices, ensuring the safety and well-being of all young people.
Oversee staff recruitment, training, and development to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and administrative responsibilities effectively.
Build positive relationships with external stakeholders, including social workers, families, and other professionals.
Requirements:
Minimum of
two years' experience
as a
Manager
within a Children's Residential Home.
Strong knowledge and experience of working within a
therapeutic model
of care.
Preferably Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
or Level 4 or 3. Willingness to complete this if not held.
Proven track record of
achieving good or outstanding Ofsted ratings
.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of
safeguarding
and relevant legislation, including the
Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
.
