DipSW, CQSW, NVQ 5 in Working with children and young People/Management or preparedness to work toward same.
Registration with Ofsted and CQC.
Significant experience at senior level in a Children's Home.
Able to demonstrate reasoning, numeracy, and literacy skills to required standard.
Able to work within the principles of the Children's Act 2004.
Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Child Protection Issues and Procedures.
Have a sound knowledge of Children's Homes procedures and relevant issues
Good organisation and leadership skills and ability to motivate others
Working knowledge of the National Care Standards 2018, Children's Homes Regulations 2018, Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018
Knowledge of relevant reports of enquiries: Howe, Utting.
As a Registered Manager you will:
Manage Residential Homes and ensure the efficient operation of the services in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies and the Statement of Purpose for the home.
Produce a development plan for the service that ensures the delivery of high quality, clinically informed practice.
Assist and supervise in the continual assessment of the needs of the children and young people and identify and prepare specific development plans to ensure the most appropriate service provision.
Contribute to a comprehensive staff training and development programme to enable the service to have available all necessary skills and levels of expertise to meet the needs of the children and young people.
Undertake investigatory hearings or contribute to disciplinary process as per Children and Young People's Foundation policy as requested by the Director of Operations.
Ensure that professional ethics and behaviour are always demonstrated by all staff.
You will actively co-ordinate the service provision and will be a focal point for support, advice and coaching to all staff within the Home.
Have responsibility for safeguarding and promoting individual rights, providing good quality care which is free from oppression and where differences are respected and valued.
About: The Anvil Children's Care Home
The Anvil home provides extensive care and nurturing for children and young people with a wide range of difficulties; LAC, Emotional behavioural disorder, autism and learning disabilities.
The home offers a warm, friendly and comfortable environment consisting of 5 bedrooms. The home will accommodate support 3 children and young people from ages 8 to 17. All bedrooms are tailored to suit individual needs, and the communal areas designed to encourage and promote independent skills.
