Are you an experienced Ofsted Responsible Individual or Social Care Consultant ready to take on a high-impact leadership role? We are looking for a passionate, driven professional to provide strategic direction, regulatory oversight, and exceptional support across our Ofsted-registered children's homes in Essex and the surrounding counties.
This is a rare opportunity to influence the quality of care at scale, shaping practice, raising standards, and empowering Registered Managers to deliver safe, nurturing, and life-changing environments for children and young people.
What You'll Do
Champion compliance with Ofsted requirements, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards.
Inspire, mentor, and guide Registered Managers to drive consistent improvement.
Lead all safeguarding activity, promoting a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous learning.
Prepare services for Ofsted inspections and push for consistent
Good
and
Outstanding
judgements.
Provide expert insight into staffing, budgeting, and operational delivery across multiple homes.
Build strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, and external partners.
Drive service improvement, staff development, and ongoing organisational growth.
Foster excellence, reflective practice, and high-quality care across all teams.
About You
You are an influential leader with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people. You will bring:
3+ years of senior leadership/consultancy experience in children's residential care.
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and Ofsted inspection frameworks.
A proven track record of enhancing service quality across multiple settings.
Outstanding leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Greater London and neighbouring counties.
