The Role
As the
Responsible Individual
, you will oversee the operational performance and compliance of our children's residential homes, ensuring the highest quality of care and safeguarding for every young person. You will act as the strategic leader and Ofsted liaison, supporting Registered Managers and ensuring services meet all regulatory and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic oversight and leadership across multiple residential settings.
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
Lead and support Registered Managers to deliver outstanding care and practice.
Monitor performance, safeguarding, and outcomes for young people.
Foster a strong, trauma-informed culture and promote therapeutic approaches to care.
Be the main point of contact for Ofsted inspections and regulatory visits.
Requirements
Must hold the
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
(or equivalent).
A minimum of
3 years' experience
in a senior management role within children's residential care.
In-depth knowledge of current legislation, regulations, and best practice in children's residential services.
Proven experience of working with Ofsted and achieving 'Good' or 'Outstanding' ratings.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
Passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of young people.
