Job Purpose
To reduce social isolation and promote wellbeing among older people by planning, coordinating, and delivering inclusive, dementia-friendly group activities and intergenerational projects in collaboration with volunteers and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
Working alongside volunteers, plan and deliver Totnes Caring's weekly Memory Cafe, including coordinating engaging, dementia-friendly activities.
Coordinate two weekly lunch clubs, creating welcoming spaces that foster friendship and community.
Plan and deliver intergenerational activities in partnership with Grove School to help build meaningful connections between older people and pupils.
Liaise with volunteers, service users, and partner organisations to ensure effective delivery of activities, including the New Directions group.
Recruit, train and support volunteers to support and deliver group activities.
Other Duties
Maintain accurate records, attendance logs, client feedback, and safeguarding notes in line with organisational policies.
Contribute to internal meetings, planning sessions, and service development discussions.
Work flexibly with colleagues and volunteers to ensure high-quality, person-centred support.
Operate in accordance with all TC policies and procedures.
Maintain strict confidentiality of clients.
