Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills within a vibrant childcare setting, fostering the growth and learning of children aged from infancy to preschool age.

Duties



Plan, organise, and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and organised activities to ensure their safety at all times. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines in compliance with regulatory standards. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and professional conduct. Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures to ensure a high standard of childcare. Assist in the organisation of nursery resources and maintain a clean, organised environment conducive to learning. Lead by example in promoting inclusive practices and behaviour management strategies. Occasionally assist with driving duties related to nursery outings or staff transportation needs.

Requirements



Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting. Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations. Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are desirable. Compassionate, patient, organised, and able to build positive relationships with children and parents alike. Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children or staff when required. A genuine passion for supporting children's development through creative play and educational activities. Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.23 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
