Based in Royal Wootton Bassett in Wiltshire, The Britannia Coin Company are the UK's leading online gold and silver coin buyer. Retailing coins to both investors and collectors worldwide, we sell a broad range of items from modern Royal Mint issues to ancient and hammered coins.

We are part of Gold Traders (UK) Limited, a precious metals dealer, specialising in the purchase of gold as well as other precious metals.

Other businesses within the Gold Trader's Group include JM Group (RWB) Limited, who are the group's property holding company, Old Bank Antiques, and RWB Auctions, who sell jewellery, coins, antiques, fine art, furniture, books and much more.

Role purpose:

Working as part of a friendly team, the role of the Online Retail Assistant entails listing items for sale on various online platforms, responding to day-to-day customer queries and ensuring sales are processed effectively. The Online Retail Assistant will also process claims to include Royal Mail and couriers and maintain contracts for service in place to support business operations.

Key responsibilities:

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Providing a high standard of customer service to all customers.

Responding to incoming sales queries via phone, online or email.

Promptly resolving any issues as they arise to a swift resolution.

Maintaining knowledge of current inventory and product offerings.

Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers.

Processing all Royal Mail and Courier claims.

Managing all sales online to include, Etsy, eBay and Amazon.

Providing support with basic photography of coins.

Providing support with the maintenance of bin contracts.

Collaborating with colleagues to maintain a positive working environment.

Keeping the Team Leader updated and advising of any concerns that may arise.

Providing administrative support and assistance to both the Team Leader and the wider team as required.

Key skills:

Excellent standard of customer service skills, both face to face, via telephone and written communication.

Previous experience of listing items for sale on online platforms, such as eBay, Amazon and Etsy.

Solution focused with the ability to resolve issues promptly as they arise.

Good IT skills.

Strong diligence and accuracy to ensure a right first-time approach is maintained.

Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.

A strong collaborator who is adaptable and willing to help others, as necessary.
