We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent service to our customers, assisting with product enquiries, and supporting sales operations. Responsibilities
Manage and grow B2B customer accounts through a combination of online sales channels and face-to-face visits
Drive sales via e-commerce platforms, email, phone
Conduct on-the-road sales visits to existing and prospective customers (trade counters, contractors, distributors, merchants)
Promote and sell the company's range of tools and equipment, providing product knowledge and demonstrations where required
Identify new business opportunities and develop long-term customer relationships
Follow up online enquiries, quotes, and leads to convert into sales
Negotiate pricing, terms, and orders in line with company guidelines
Collaborate with marketing, , and customer service teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions & sales activity
Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
Represent the company professionally at trade events, product launches, and customer meetings
Requirements
Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers
Organised, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Flexibility to work during store opening hours, including weekends if required
Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately
Ability to adapt quickly to new products and procedures
