Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a

Project Manager

to join our

Project Management Office

where you'll support us

with work transfer and product introduction

. This role will be based at our

Staverton

site, but travel to other sites and customers on a global basis is expected.

The Role:

This role is most suited to someone with a strong background in work transfer and new product introduction in a highly regulated manufacturing industry. As part of your role you'll be expected to:





o Manage complex global projects from conception to completion, using appropriate methodologies.


Provide day-to-day direction and support to the project team.


o Participates and/or drives project planning through Merger & Acquisitions.


o Reviews and ensures the effectiveness of Ontic project procedures, processes,


templates, and tools. Partners with peers from other Ontic sites to ensure consistency.


o Work with business functions and project stakeholders to define the project approach.


o Definition of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and estimates resource requirements.


o Identification and application of project dependencies and activity sequencing.


o Monitors project governance to ensure adherence to project plans and milestone achievement,


taking appropriate action where timing is compromised, or the critical path affected.


o Manage the project to the agreed scope and act upon any proposed changes in scope.


o Monitor and report upon project outputs and acceptance criteria.


o Provide day-to-day direction and support to the project team.


o Manage the preparation and update of project documentation sets.


o Risk & Opportunity Management throughout the project lifecycle, escalation of issues and


trends from across the Risk & Opportunity portfolio to the RoW PMO Director.


o Implementation of project Quality Assurance


o Monitoring of planned resource utilisation vs basis of estimate.


o Managing internal resources to ensure timely allocation to planned activities and effective release of resources to business-as-usual.

To be successful in this role you'll need to have:


o Project Management Professional certification is preferred


o Extensive understanding in a range of project management


o Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools


o Knowledge of the aerospace industry/manufacturing processes is required


o Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures


o A working knowledge of business IT systems and in-depth knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook


o Highly motivated with strong technical and interpersonal skills


o Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills


o Displays sound judgement and has a high level of tact and diplomacy


o Possesses enough gravitas and credibility to advise and influence project teams and other internal stakeholders


o Able to self-manage and coach team members


o Able to produce quality, accurate and timely management and business information


o Possess excellent verbal and written skills and be able to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization


o Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a varied workload


o Have a keen eye for detail and must be able to think clearly and perform duties under pressure
