Operational Finance & Business Support Team Leader - Remote - ARD954863
Purpose of the Role

This exciting remote opportunity has arisen within our Business Support function, reporting to our Operational Finance & Business Support Manager. You will be responsible for general business support, along with operational finance support, ensuring the team operates efficiently and effectively.
You will be tasked with overseeing wholesale credit control, central finance queries, bordereaux production/issuance and supporting site locations with all facility requirements including Health & Safety, parking allocation, monthly bonus calculations, along with other day to day activities to support the division.
What you will do

This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but with focus on the following:

  • Lead team to deliver all team KPIs and objectives and manage individual staff KPIs, staff development and conduct appraisals with staff.
  • Oversee wholesale credit control, ensuring end to end process followed is optimal and aged debt is within targeted thresholds.
  • Point of contact for all broker statement queries and resolutions.
  • Working with central finance functions to ensure processes are aligned and support the resolution of unallocated cash and aged debt.
  • Support the bordereau technicians with the production of monthly premium bordereaux in line with insurer requirements.
  • Be H&S representative, covering all office locations in the division; ensuring all policies and protocol are followed. This will mean travel to different sites as and when required.
  • Be contact for all facilities requirements for the division\xe2\x80\x99s offices including, but not limited to vending machines, utilities, DSE requirements and management of staff parking at all sites.
  • Oversee and strive to improve the monthly bonus calculations/payment submission and bi-annual long service reward process.
  • Maintain Incentive Scheme listings across all staff and managing all dissemination of plans to staff and management.
  • Ensure all supplier invoices are processed as per the company policy on D365.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who has:
  • Team leader experience: mentoring and guiding others and now looking to take the next step into a full team leadership role.
  • Experience within a business support or operational finance role.
  • Knowledge and experience of regulatory / legislative framework within the financial services market
  • Proficient in all MS Office packages.

Ideally, we are seeking someone who fits this criteria and has worked within a broker or insurer market, although this is not essential.

You will need to have excellent attention to detail, be adaptable, able to initiate, embrace and respond to changes positively, focusing on continuous improvement and driving operational excellence.
With strong communication and presentation skills, you will be able to develop, encourage and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
